Our Philosophy
At the heart of Kim’s K9 Adventures is the belief that dogs thrive with structure, freedom to run and play, and meaningful social connection.
We provide supervised group off-leash adventures where dogs can safely explore, socialize, and enjoy being part of a balanced, structured group.
Each outing is designed to combine exercise, enrichment, and socialization so dogs can return home happy, confident, and fulfilled.

Kim’s K9 Adventures was founded to help dogs become their best through structure, socialization, and purposeful activity.
Owner Nathan Kim has a deep passion for dogs and years of experience in dog training, specializing in supervised group off-leash adventures that build confidence, reinforce positive behaviour, and support balanced, well-socialized dogs.
Every outing is designed to provide safe, structured group experiences that combine exercise, enrichment, and positive social interaction.
About Us
What can I expect from group walks?
Your dog will enjoy safe transport in our cozy, climate-controlled van before heading out for a structured off-leash adventure.
We visit secure off-leash parks where dogs are grouped for balanced socialization, exercise, and enrichment.
After each walk, you’ll receive a pup-date and a highlight video so you can share in the experience.
GPS tracking maps are available on request.
What can I expect from Overnight Care?
Once you share your dog’s needs and routine, they’ll receive calm, structured in-home care in either our home or yours.
Throughout their stay, your dog will enjoy consistent attention, familiar handling, and group walks to support exercise, socialization, and balance.
How do I schedule a walk?
Simply fill out our Pup Adventure Request form or
reach out to us directly.
For new clients, you'll need to fill out a quick registration form before booking your preferred times.
What supplies do I need to provide?
You’ll need to provide a well-fitted collar or harness for both group walks and overnight care.
For overnight stays, please also provide your dog’s food along with clear feeding instructions.
We provide everything else, including a secure leash and poop bags. Please let us know if your dog has any special needs.
What are your group walk hours?
We run one group walk per day, Monday to Friday, with pickups starting at 9:00 AM and dogs returning home in the late afternoon.
Occasionally, we also offer weekend walks with similar timing, depending on availability.

After each walk, you’ll receive a pup-date and a highlight video via Facebook or Instagram, along with details from the outing. GPS tracking maps are available on request.

Are you insured?
Yes, we carry full commercial liability insurance covering dog walking, handling, and care of animals.
What happens during bad weather?
In severe weather, group walks may be adjusted, shortened, or cancelled for safety. We always monitor dogs closely for signs of discomfort such as excessive panting, shivering, or heat/cold stress.
There are no fees for weather-related cancellations. We may also offer rescheduling or alternative private care options where appropriate.
Will my dog be walked off-leash?
Dogs are walked off-leash in controlled, quiet parks if they are comfortable and reliable with recall.
If off-leash isn’t suitable yet, they will be walked on-leash while we continue working on their recall in a safe,
structured way.
Safety and Insurance
What sort of training equipment do you use?
We use a balanced, real-world training approach that focuses on clear communication, structure, and consistency.
Depending on the dog, we may use equipment such as a head collar or soft muzzle when needed for safety and management.
We do not rely on prong collars or e-collars, but may follow owner-requested training tools to maintain consistency where appropriate.

Does my dog require vaccinations?
We require all dogs to be up to date on core vaccinations, including Parvovirus and Distemper.
Rabies and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) are not required, but are strongly recommended.
Cold weather guidelines
0°C to -10°C: Jackets and booties are recommended, especially for small or senior dogs.
Below -10°C: Jackets and booties may be required depending on breed and tolerance. Some dogs (especially small, senior, or short-haired breeds) may be rescheduled for safety.
Hot weather guidelines
Below 32°C: Walks continue as normal with frequent water breaks and close monitoring.
32°C and above: We prioritize shade, water access, and may adjust activities (including shorter walks, swim outings, or rescheduling if needed).
