Our Philosophy
At the heart of Kim's K9 Adventures is the belief that dogs are more than pets - they're family, companions who enrich our lives with their presence.
We strive to meet every dog's needs with kindness, patience, and a love for the outdoors.
From socialization to individual care, each walk is tailored to ensure your pup’s unique personality shines through in every adventure.

Kim’s K9 Adventures was founded to help dogs be their best. Nathan, the owner, has a deep love for all animals, with a special passion for dogs and a dedication to guiding them to thrive. With years of experience in dog training, he leads enriching group walks tailored to each pup’s needs, building confidence and reinforcing positive behaviour.
As part of the Calgary Humane Society’s Fur-Low and Foster program, Nathan also helps dogs find their forever homes.
Each walk promotes socialization, reinforces training, and ensures a safe, fun experience for every dog.
About Us
What can I expect from group walks?
Your dog will spend 1.5 to 3 hours with us, including travel in our cozy, climate-controlled van. We visit off-leash parks with friendly pups, offering exercise, enrichment, and socialization. After each walk, you'll get a GPS map, a pup-date, and a highlight video!
What can I expect from private walks & visits?
Once you specify your dog’s needs, they’ll receive one-on-one, personalized attention, including a neighbourhood walk and on-the-spot training. After each walk, you’ll get a GPS map, a pup-date, and a highlight video to share in the experience!
How do I schedule a walk?
Whether you're a new or returning client, simply fill out our Pup Adventure Request form or reach out to us directly.
For new clients, you'll need to fill out a quick registration form before booking your preferred times.
What supplies do I need to provide?
You’ll need to provide a well-fitted collar or harness and treats (optional) if your dog has dietary restrictions or preferences. We’ll provide a secure leash and poop bags. Let us know if your dog has any special needs.
What are your group walk hours?
Our group walks run Monday to Friday. Morning walks take place from 9 AM to 12 PM, and afternoon walks are from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Booking Your Walk
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all forms of payment, including cash, e-transfer, cheque, and credit card. Invoices are sent every Saturday at the end of the week.
What areas do you service?
We proudly serve SE Calgary and select SW communities.
What if I'm not home?
That's no problem! We will use the access instructions you've provided to enter your home in your absence.
What if the walker can't get access to my home?
If we cannot access your home due to inaccessible access methods or failed devices (such as a door code, lock box, key, or intercom), and we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact, you may incur a fee equal to the full cost of the walk.
Are my access instructions and house key safe?
Your access instructions are handled with absolute care to ensure the safety and security of your home. If we have a copy of your key, it is stored securely. If you have specific concerns about the instructions or key, please feel free to discuss them with us.
Where can I get a lock box?
You have the option to order a lock box through us. Lock boxes are $25 and are yours to keep. Once you have the lock box, you can set your own code, which can be changed at any time—just be sure to update us with the new code. We can help set it up for you as well, just provide us a code!
How do I update my access instructions?
You can simply update your home access instructions by contacting us. Please provide the new details, such as any updated codes, lock box information, or changes to key access. Once we receive your updates, we’ll confirm that the changes have been made.
Home Entry
How do I stay informed about my walks?
We will send you a highlight video and GPS maps via Facebook and Instagram, along with a pup-date which provides details about each walk. You can also contact us anytime as well!
Can you give food or treats?
Yes, but any food or treats must be provided by you to prevent any issues with allergies or dietary restrictions. If you have specific preferences or instructions, please let us know!
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry liability coverage for bodily injury or property damage, including dog bites to other animals. If we misplace your key(s) or cause accidental damage to your property, we provide reimbursement of up to $200 for replacement or repair costs.
What happens during bad weather?
In severe weather, we may adjust or cancel group walks for your dog's safety. We always monitor for signs of discomfort, such as excessive panting, shivering, or paw lifting. We can also discuss options for a private walk or rescheduling.
There are no fees for weather-related cancellations.
Cold Weather Guidelines
(-10°C to 0°C): Booties and jacket are recommended, especially for smaller or senior dogs.
(Below -10°C): Booties and jacket are highly recommended or required depending on breed; participation is also breed dependent, and small and senior dogs may be rescheduled.
Hot Weather Guidelines
(Below 32°C): We will always have access to water. We will monitor for overheating.
(Above 32°C): Shade and access to water will be priority. We may plan a swim day or reschedule walks for safety.
Will my dog be walked off-leash?
Your dog will be walked off-leash at a controlled, quiet park if they are comfortable and well-behaved. If off-leash isn’t suitable, we will provide an on-leash walk and work on their recall until it’s safe for them to be off-leash.
Safety and Insurance
What sort of training equipment do you use?
We use treats for positive reinforcement and may use a head collar or soft muzzle when needed, depending on your dog’s behaviour. We do not use prong collars, e-collars, or choke collars.

Does my dog require vaccinations?
We require our dogs to be fully up-to-date with their core vaccinations, including Parvovirus and Distemper. Rabies and Bordetella/Kennel Cough are not required, but are strongly recommended.
